This handsome chap is one of 10 dogs that we rescued from one of the biggest municipal pounds at the beginning of November. At the pound he was in one of the communal pens with a number of other dogs. He’s only a puppy and it was quite an overwhelming environment for him.

Chip is definitely very happy to be out of the busy, dusty pound and to have his own clean kennel at the sanctuary – next stop… your sofa!

We get the feeling that Chip may have lived in a home before. He sits beautifully for treats and waits patiently until he’s given them. We put a harness on him without any trouble at all and he walked beautifully on the lead. If he hasn’t been in a home before then he’s just a naturally “good boy”!

Chip is a really affectionate, friendly young dog who loves a fuss. We’re not sure what breed mix he is, but he looks like a little lurcher with long legs and a deep chest. He has a delicate build and we don’t think that he’ll do much more growing.

This lovely boy is ready to join a family and show off his clever sitting and good boy behaviour!
