About Jasper
Our pointer brothers Jasper and Ruben are truly special pups who are going to be amazing dogs!
Jasper and his brother, Ruben, were found in the road by a kind man on his way to tend his horses in the middle of nowhere. This is where some heartless person decided to abandon two young puppies. Had it not been for this man passing they would have died. Luckily the next person this man saw was Constantina who didn’t hesitate for a second to offer to take them under SPDC.
The boys were malnourished, dehydrated and frightened. But within just a few days at the sanctuary we watched them transform into the happy, playful and gorgeous puppies that they are today! We’re so happy that they were found when they were and that we were in a position to take them in.
Jasper is taller than his brother and will most likely be a larger dog when adult. He has a beautiful jet black head and he is a very affectionate boy. In fact, we have less photos of him because he’s always up close asking for cuddles 😊
The boys love to run, play and make friends – not just with each other but with other dogs at the sanctuary as well. They are being well socialised at the sanctuary and we believe that, with careful introductions, they would be able to join a home with another resident dog.
As a German Shorthaired Pointer, Jasper is a great example of this intelligent, friendly and active breed. He will thrive in a family that can offer him lots of fun, exercise and mental stimulation. Whether it’s running, swimming or adventuring, Jasper will be a perfect partner. Early training will help him reach his full potential and we’re certain that he’ll be a fast learner.
Jasper is a really lovely boy who will make a great addition to any family.
