About Ruben
Our pointer brothers Jasper and Ruben are truly special pups who are going to be amazing dogs!
Ruben and his brother, Jasper, were found in the road by a man on his way to tend his horses in the middle of nowhere. This is where some cruel human decided to abandon two young puppies. Had it not been for this man passing they would have died. Luckily the next person this man saw was Constantina and she, of course, agreed to help them.
The boys were malnourished, dehydrated and frightened. But within just a few days at the sanctuary we watched them transform into the happy, playful and gorgeous puppies that they are today! We’re so happy that they were found when they were and that we were in a position to take them in.
Ruben is slightly smaller than his brother but he may still have a growth spurt. He has gorgeous dappled white markings across his coat and muzzle. Ruben is also a tiny bit less confident than Jasper so it’s been wonderful to see him grown in confidence. He’s now very happy to come for pets and is an affectionate pup.
The boys love to run, play and make friends – not just with each other but with other dogs at the sanctuary as well. They are being well socialised at the sanctuary and we believe that, with careful introductions, they would be able to join a home with another resident dog.
As a German Shorthaired Pointer, Ruben is a great example of this intelligent, friendly and active breed. He will thrive in a family that can offer him lots of fun, exercise and mental stimulation. Whether it’s running, swimming or adventuring, Ruben will be a perfect partner. Early training will help him reach his full potential and we’re certain that he’ll be a fast learner.
Ruben is a gorgeous, sweet puppy who will make a great addition to any family.
