About Brownie

About Brownie

Brownie and her puppy Iris were rescued by a a young couple living in a village in the Nicosia district, along with another adult female, Yakinthi, The couple cared for them as best they could but the dogs were being abused and chased in the village and they were struggling to keep them safe. Constantina responded to their desperate post and said that we would help.

The three dogs shared a kennel to begin with until we were had space, giving us a clear indication as to what good natured dogs they are. Even with Iris the playful puppy chewing on their ears, the 3 girls cohabited really well I their kennel. We’re sure that, with careful introductions, Brownie could join a home with another resident dog.

Brownie is a stunning dog. She’s very friendly and loves everyone that she meets. Fortunately she shows no sign of fear of humans, despite the abuse she received while she was living as a stray. We really don’t deserve these wonderful dogs!

If you read about GSPs, you will usually see sentences like this “GSPs make happy, trainable pets who bond firmly to their family” – they really are great dogs! You will also read that they are “a versatile and energetic breed known for their athleticism and intelligence” – also true. Pointers need plenty of exercise and stimulation to keep their bodies and minds active.

If you’re looking for a loving, intelligent, loyal and active dog to keep you company and keep you healthy… Brownie might be just the right dog for you!
