What an apt name for this bright, happy pup! She’s one of three dogs that we rescued from a pound as soon as we had space at the sanctuary and we all fell in love instantly.

Sunshine is a playful girl and she goes out in the yard with a few other dogs. She has a lovely temperament and from what we’ve seen gets on well with other dogs. She particularly likes to roll around with Olive who is a younger puppy.

Sunshine is also very loving and loves a cuddle with any human. She likes to give proper hugs and snuggle into your neck. She’s just so sweet!

As usual, we’re not sure of her breed mix. But she has a beautiful redtick coat which we associate with hounds like the coonhound and she has those gorgeous big hound ears. Whatever mix she is, it’s a good one. She’s the sweetest girl!

Although we’re pretty sure that she’s never had any formal training, Sunshine already does a lovely sit for treats and for toys. She’s clearly a clever dog, eager to please and she will continue to blossom in a loving home.
