About Teddy
Teddy and his three brothers were dumped on a remote road near the sanctuary in February, the coldest and wettest time of year. Whoever abandoned them didn't care if they lived or died... they were lucky!
From the condition that they were in, we can be sure that they were being kept in very poor conditions. They were under-nourished, filthy and fearful.
To see them now, you wouldn't guess that they were the same dogs. They're flourishing under our care and are now what they should be... Happy, healthy, playful puppies.
Teddy and his brother Bear are the more traditional GSD colouring whereas their other two brothers are white with blue eyes. We believe them to be Shepherds, perhaps Greek mixed with German. We can't know for sure, but we do think that they will grow to be quite big dogs.
The litter are remarkably calm and gentle puppies. They are being very well socialised with other dogs at the sanctuary and they interact really well with both adults and other puppies.
Teddy is a very happy, waggy boy just like his brothers. We can tell him apart from Bear because his coat is blacker on his back. Otherwise the pair are very alike. All of the boys are very friendly but a little wary with new people – they haven’t seen the best side of humans before coming to us.
This gentle pup could definitely join a home with another resident dog. He would benefit from a home with experienced dog owners, preferably with a good size garden.
Teddy is such a sweet, gentle pup and we’re sure that he will continue to grow in confidence once he’s settled in a loving home.
