About Azor
Azor is one of the dogs that we took under the wing of SPDC from a fellow rescuer who has found himself overwhelmed with dogs – in particular abandoned hunting dogs.
This beautiful, regal looking boy won our hearts instantly. He is so gentle and loving – a little shy on first meeting but once he knows you, always ready for cuddles. He will probably always be a little wary of loud noises and sudden movements but once he settles into a home and trusts his family he will become more and more relaxed.
Azor walks with a limp. He has an old fracture on one of his front elbows which was never treated. However, we have had him checked out and x-rayed by the vet who says that there is nothing to be done. We have already seen that he’s using his leg more comfortably as he builds up the muscles with more exercise. He does not appear to be in any pain and moves and runs happily in the yard with his friends.
All the dogs that we rescued at the same time go out into the yard together. Azor could definitely join a home with another resident dog. He has shown us to be polite and friendly with all dogs that he meets.
Truth be told, this gentle boy is a firm favourite with the sanctuary volunteers and we’re sure that he’ll be very loved by his forever family.
