About Bear
Bear and his three brothers were dumped on a remote road near the sanctuary in February, the coldest and wettest time of year. Whoever abandoned them didn't care if they lived or died... they were lucky!
From the condition that they were in, we can be sure that they were being kept in very poor conditions. They were under-nourished, filthy and fearful.
To see them now, you wouldn't guess that they were the same dogs. They're flourishing under our care and are now what they should be... Happy, healthy, playful puppies.
Bear and his brother Teddy are the more traditional GSD colouring whereas their other two brothers are white with blue eyes. We believe them to be Shepherds, perhaps Greek mixed with German. We can't know for sure, but we do think that they will grow to be quite big dogs.
The litter are remarkably calm and gentle puppies. They are being very well socialised with other dogs at the sanctuary and they interact really well with both adults and other puppies.
Bear is a little more confident than his twin brother, although both boys are very happy, playful and waggy-tailed. We can tell the boys apart because Bear has a lighter coat than his brother. Otherwise the pair are very alike.
This sweet pup could definitely join a home with another resident dog. He would benefit from a home with experienced dog owners, preferably with a good size garden.
Bear is a loving, good-natured puppy and we’re sure that he will blossom and mature into a really lovely dog once he’s settled in a loving home.
