On May 18th we drove out of Nicosia to go and collect two puppies that had been rescued by a Forestry Department firefighter. This young man finds around 100 abandoned dogs every year and does everything that he can to help them. In this instance we did what we could to help him.

The puppies were only around 8 weeks old and would not have survived much longer where they had been dumped. Two beautiful sisters... we can only hope that there were not more.

Almost 2 months later and Dee Dee and her sister Rina have grown into the sweetest puppies! They get on well together and still share a kennel at the sanctuary. They love meeting visitors to the sanctuary and are always friendly and playful.

Although we can never be entirely sure, we think that the puppies will be medium sized when fully grown. They're still quite small. We don't know what breed mix they are, but they both have gorgeous patches of brindle markings and they're gorgeous girls!

Being a puppy, we believe that Dee Dee will adapt well to life in a home. She's friendly, playful, clever and fun!
