Oscar appeared outside the sanctuary on January 17th, during the hunting season. He had no microchip and no one has come forward to claim him. He was no doubt abandoned by a hunter somewhere in the area and was drawn to the sound of the dogs at the sanctuary.

Of course we brought him inside and we’re so happy that he found us! He was very thin, dehydrated and tired, but a few days of good food and rest soon saw him on the road to recovery.

Oscar is an absolute gem of a dog! He loves people and visitors to the sanctuary are all required to give him plenty of belly rubs! He’s also playful, running for toys and balls.

Like most GSP’s, Oscar is friendly and outgoing. He’s funny and goofy and clever and energetic. He’s an all-round good boy that we think will make his future family very happy!
