Otto is a firm favourite with the Lisa and Amber who visited the sanctuary recently.

Despite his size and energy he was incredibly gentle with our younger visitor and we are sure could live happily with dog savvy kids, although given his size we would suggest children over 10 years old.

Otto was initially promoted by a different rescue but when their premises was forced to close down, we offered Otto and his brother a kennel space. Otto is now being promoted for adoption with SPDC.

Although perhaps a little more reserved than his brother, this beautiful boy gives the best cuddles and really enjoys a good scratch. He is just as happy to relax quietly next to you.

Otto has a wonderful shiny black coat with more brindle markings than his brother, ensuring he really stands out.

Otto will benefit from an active home preferably with some Shepherd experience. He is a large, smart and strong dog, and although has mastered the most beautiful sit, will require lead and recall training.

Otto hangs out with his brother, Vito, at the sanctuary and seems mostly unbothered by other dogs but we suspect he might like to be the only dog in the home to ensure he receives all the love there is to give.

If you’re a lover of large breeds with a gentle nature, lovely Otto might just be the boy for you!
