About Pixie

About Pixie

Pixie, her mum and siblings were saved from a life on the streets by a fellow rescuer. The mum was owned (and unwanted) by a hunter who agreed to allow the rescuer to take them in.

We have already rehomed 4 of the puppies and their mum, Aggie. They’re all leading their best lives in the UK now. Pixie was supposed to be adopted elsewhere but the adoption never materialised so we’ve taken her under SPDC and she’s ready to find her forever family.

Pixie has been and continues to be very well socialised with other dogs. She has other puppy friends at the sanctuary and they all play very nicely together. She would definitely be happy joining a home with another resident dog.

This lovely puppy is an intelligent, playful and friendly puppy. She can be a little shy when meeting new people but she isn’t fearful and she’s always got a waggy tail. She’s the sweetest girl!

The Segugio Italiano is a scent hound with a lot of energy and stamina. That means they need plenty of exercise to keep them physically and mentally fit. Brisk walks, trips to the dog park, and backyard scent games are all great ways to help them burn off energy. They also enjoy dog sports—such as agility, competitive obedience, and rally. Segugi are eager-to-please pups, which comes in handy during training sessions. Quick learners, they benefit from consistent positive training.
