Poppy is one of 5 dogs that were surrendered to a village pound by hunters. She looks like she may have had a litter or two even though she’s young. Now surplus to their requirements she was unceremoniously discarded.

She is such a gentle, sweet soul! Poppy will melt anyone’s heart with those big, brown soulful eyes of hers. She approaches people carefully, not having been treated well in her past life, but she so wants love and affection.

Poppy isn’t a fearful dog, just a little timid. However, she overcomes her timidity because she is so loving and she loves to be stroked and petted. Once she’s in a loving home she will blossom – we’ve already seen a big change in the short time that she’s been with us.

This gorgeous girl is a hound mix. Her gorgeous colouring suggests some Segugio in the mix, but she is substantially smaller. From what we’ve seen she gets on with other dogs and with careful introduction she would be able to join a home with another resident dog.
