About Josie

About Josie

This sweet girl has made wonderful progress since coming into foster care. Initially quite nervous and unsure, she has steadily gained confidence and truly come out of her shell with time, patience, reassurance and a soft tone.

She is now a happy, playful and affectionate dog who enjoys spending time with other dogs and loves a good play session. She is toilet trained and walks reasonably well on a lead, although she continues to build her confidence in new environments. Josie loves a secure field where she can run until her little legs can’t anymore!

Josie is crate trained and usually goes there for space if she desires it or is a little anxious. Josie goes in a crate whilst her foster mum is at work but does like to spend her evening cuddled up next to you, she sleeps in her bed overnight but will jump up and cuddle into you if you allow her to.

Her foster mum describes her as a fun-loving companion who thrives on gentle encouragement and positive interactions. She would do well in a calm and supportive home, ideally with another friendly dog to help her continue growing in confidence. Josie gets along with both her foster sisters who are both large breeds so a big or small dog she loves them all! She loves to cuddle into them so she feels safe and loves a good tug of war with dog beds! Josie also travels well in the car.

If you’re looking for a loyal and loving companion who will reward your patience with endless affection, this beautiful girl could be the perfect addition to your family.
